Review of Energy-Saving Technologies for Electric Vehicles, from the Perspective of Driving Energy Management

The driving range of electric vehicles (EVs) is still an important factor restricting their development. Although the rising battery energy density has reached a bottleneck, which key constraint, drive management strategy also significant effect and can improve EVs, since wheel traction torque control directly optimize consumption EVs. In order to comprehensively analyze current research status clarify its development direction, this review focuses on EVs systematically summarizes configurations power distribution strategies dual-motor coupling system (DCDS), as well vectoring decentralized system. Firstly, losses are analyzed in detail, mainly include loss, tire slip dissipation, cornering resistance. Secondly, typical DCDS introduced, reviewed. Finally, interesting energy-saving technology, vectoring, generally applied systems, reviewed detail terms pathways strategies, classified front-and-rear left-and-right vectoring. Research findings indicate that be effectively increased by applying based several novel multi-power source systems. required systems will valuable crucial direction for further conservation
